Castor Oil Packs

What is Castor Oil?

Castor oil is a multi-purpose vegetable oil that people have been using for thousands of years for its healing properties. It is extracted by pressing the seeds of the castor plant, scientifically known as Ricinus Communis. Castor seeds are rich in triglycerides, which is what makes them so valuable.

Benefits of Castor Oil:

Castor oil is an under used, highly beneficial oil. It is an anti-microbial, anti-viral, anti-bacterial and an anti-fungal. Where it is applied, it will increase beneficial white blood cells and increase immune efficiency.

Castor oil boosts immunity. It improves lymphatic function, blood flow and thymus gland health,

Castor oil increases circulation by keeping the lymphatic system healthy and by detoxifying our body, bringing oxygen to our cells.

Castor oil helps balance and regulate hormones which can increase libido, decrease PMS, anxiety and mood swings.

Castor oil has been historically used for its amazing benefits to induce labor; as it helps in uterine contractions.

Castor oil is a very effective treatment for extreme cases of constipation, IBS, cramping, edema and leaky gut syndrome. It helps in balancing the gut bacteria.

Castor oil is a very effective treatment of rheumatism, arthritis, gout and joint pain.

Castor oil relieves menstrual disorders, painful menses, breaks up cysts, adhesions and scar tissue. It can treat endometriosis, PCOS and fibroids.

Castor oil is also great for the skin and hair.

Castor Oil Pack Application:

1. Apply organic, cold pressed castor oil liberally over the abdomen,

2. Place cotton flannel over the abdomen. A swaddle blanket or pillow case works great.

3. Place hot water bottle on top of the cotton flannel covering.

For best results, leave castor oil pack on for at least 45 minutes. It is a good idea to do this before bedtime since castor oil packs are very relaxing and sleep inducing.

Packs are recommended 3 or 4 days on, then 3 days off.

*Packs should be avoided during ovulation.

*Packs should be avoided during pregnancy.
